Sapatè Mission Appeal
During the weekend of July 30th, ICSJ Parish welcomed Fr. Rodlin Rodrigue, who spoke on behalf of the annual Summer Missionary Co-Op Appeal sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Fr. Rodlin shared his experiences and reflections about his work at the Mission, which is located near Hinche in central Haiti. The Mission is in need of our prayers and financial support. Thank you for your generosity!
A Message from the Sapatè Mission:
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Sapatè Mission is located in a small town called Sapatè near Hinche in the central plateau, Haiti. We have been working there since 2010 to better the life of many poor children in the area. Our primary focus has been on education. Every year we provide school supplies, school bags and uniforms to more than 150 children. When funds were available we have also provided a hot meal not only for the children but also their parents as well.
We really rely on the help of generous people like you to provide those children access to the basic needs, enabling them to grow and, God willing, flourish. Please be generous in your support, realizing that every dollar contributed is used for the children.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and hopefully with your financial support we will be able to help more children in Haiti. Jesus says in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
On behalf of those children, thank you for your support and prayers.
