Joy will discuss the fragile balancing act of being a family caregiver—managing care for loved ones while anticipating your own needs as you age, and trying to answer the question, "Who will take care of me and be my advocate when I’m old?" Please note that Fr. Larry McBrady will be on vacation in Florida during the whole month of February. While he is away, we welcome Fr. Tom Byrne, who serves on the faculty of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, Illinois, will be celebrating some of our weekend Masses. Welcome Fr. Byrne!

The ICSJ Parish Council is a group of parishioners that represent the diverse population of our parish community. With our Pastor Larry Lisowski, they serve in a leadership role to promote and support the Parish Mission Statement, the gospel message, Christian values and the Mission of the Church. Our Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive raised over $800 to support our parish SPRED program that provides religious education for those with disabilities. SPRED catechists Greg Racklaw (also a KOC) and Anita Holmes are joined by John Cadogan from the Old Town Knights of Columbus chapter.

Fr. Larry McBrady recently took our ICSJ Young Adults on a historical tour of Chicago. “Professor McBrady" has been studying the interesting history of our city for many years as a personal hobby.

Our 2nd Grade ICSJ School students recently hosted a beautiful prayer service at IC Church and reminded us to practice kindness, gentleness, humility, patience, compassion and love. Great message kids!

Happy Anniversary! May marks the anniversary of ordination for many priests in the Archdiocese. Fr. McBrady (left) celebrates 46 years of service (ordained May 12,1971) and Fr. Larry (right) celebrates 33 years (ordained May 19, 1984).
