Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

We are blessed to share a relationship with Assumption BVM parish, which is located at 24th Street and California Avenue. The staff and parishioners of Assumption BVM parish are supported throughout the year by our prayers and financial stewardship. Collections of food, clothing and money help to assist those in need as they share with us the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ. For more information, visit the Assumption BVM Parish website.

Assumption BVM parish also ministers to the inmates at Cook County jail through the Kolbe House foundation. The Kolbe House is an agency of the Department of Parish Life and Formation of the Archdiocese of Chicago and deals directly with those in the criminal justice system. Their direct service includes one-to-one visits and pastoral counseling. For more information, visit the Kolbe House website.

A BIG THANK YOU to all the IC-SJ parishioners who attended the February 6, 2016 Mass and reception with our friends from Assumption BVM. A great time was had by all!
