Music Ministry

Song is a prayer!

When we sing with intention, we grow closer to one another and to God. At ICSJ, our music ministry is a joyful offering of the gifts we’ve been given, helping us become centered, attentive, and grateful.

Intention

We lead with intention. Music is not just a simple motion, it is prayer. With purpose and direction, each note draws us deeper into meaning.

Prayer

Musicianship demands focus: tone, breath, phrasing, listening. That focus becomes prayer. Through disciplined attention, we offer not performance, but devotion.

Rest

Before every sound, there is silence. We do not rush past it. In both sound and stillness, we recognize God’s presence as abundant, active, and alive.

Drawing from the breadth of sacred music, from the richness of traditional Catholic hymns to the vitality of contemporary worship, ICSJ’s music ministry honors the Church’s tradition while lifting our voices forward in faith. If you feel called to sing or play, we invite you to join us. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned musician, there is a place for you here.
