Come serve with joy and share God’s love
Saturday, May 16 • 8:15 a.m.–12 p.m.
Join us on Saturday morning, May 16, for ICSJ’s Day of Service. Put your faith into action, working side by side with fellow parishioners and school families to meet real needs across our city. We’ll begin the morning at I.C. Church with coffee and donuts at 8:15 a.m., then head out to service sites across the city—some opportunities are off-site and may include age requirements, and transportation assistance is available if needed.
Choose from five ways to serve, each meeting a real need:
Prepare
Help assemble 200 lunch bags for Chicago Help Initiative, an organization that works to feed our neighbors who go hungry.
Organize
Organize the New Mom closet at the Women's Care Center. Stock their shelves with free baby items that help new moms in need have the essentials.
Care
Help us care for creation in a special way as we clean and tend to the gardens at both Immaculate Conception's and St. Joseph's worship sites.
Sort
Help sort clothing donations at our local free store for migrants, St. Chrys's Closet, at Church of the Ascension on LaSalle.
Stock
Volunteer at Nourishing Hope Food Pantry to help stock shelves with goods that will feed our neighbors in need.
